Fire rebuild and reconstruction
After a fire, the first question is what is left under the debris. We assess the foundation with an engineer and plan the rebuild from there.
Can the old foundation be reused?
Heat can crack concrete and weaken reinforcement. An engineer tests and inspects what remains and says whether it can carry the new house, needs repair or has to come out. We plan the rebuild around that report.
New framing to current code
A rebuild is framed to the current building code, which means shear walls, hold-downs and connections that older houses often lacked. We build to the new structural plans and the inspections that come with them.
Materials for the new shell
Areas with a fire hazard rating have rules for roofing, vents, siding and windows. We follow what the permit for your address requires and list each item in the quote.
